(Judges 9:1-21) Though it wouldn’t seem so easily seen in this passage of scripture, what spoke to me is that of being a servant. It is very easy for us to want to be in control of, at the very least, our own lives but sometimes we seek to wield control over others. As followers of Christ, He gave us the example of servanthood, and that is the example we are to following. We are even called to be servants when we are in positions of leadership, this is how great of a calling we have to servanthood.
My desire is to take the place of a servant no matter the circustances or role I may find myself in. As a follower of Christ it is my calling to follow His example for my life. That is what I desire most.
